the hot date part 2

He surprised me by bringing me to the sentosa golf club :o) We dined at Nogawa. which he said was opened by nogawa-san... it's Yoshio Nogawa. It was a feast. I'm not kidding... this was wat we had:

- sashimi platter. squid, salmon, yellow tail, clam, scallop, TORO and a seasonal mackreal which i cannot pronounce... the freshness and quality is really to die for. even the squid. for a un-squidy person i swear squid doesn't taste like this. and the scallop... They have 3 different types dipping sauces for the different coloured meats. IT is the BEST-est platter i've have had. There are all Sweet. yes Super sweet to taste. and combined with the radished, gingered or normal wasabi-ed sauces MELLTSS in your mouth.

- Grilled onigiri. I'm a suker..... yummmy. how many places do u know serve it grilled?
- Hand pressed sake sushi. YEs
- Even more delicious TORO sushi
- COD roe in some clear soup. Wah lau..... slurp slurp. Taste better than the cod sperm and OMGness kind of good.
- Some fin stewed with bamboo
- red bean and chestnut dessert. i swore they soak it in sake. served thoughfully with brown rice tea, warm towel and new set of utensils. and when we told htme that we had only ordered a set to share, the server immediately said, no worries the second was on e house...

ALL these companied by Sake... The cool part is that they presented a tray of pretty sake glasses to you to choose which one u liked! photos of which i promise later... we spent the first 1 hour plus dining in the resturant by ourselves :). The service i tops. no just the usual warm towels they serve but the serving trays which you eat out from. wat i liked most was that they served you one course after and another. They were actually keeping watch on you eating your food and only serving the next one just slightly before u finish and painstaking changing all your sauces for each dish so that the tastes do not mix.

Thank you honey :) nothing beats a splendid dinner in such a romantic setting. It was also drizzling.....
