The IT Chic is off to Hollywood.

Time: 4 hrs after departure @5.15 sing time.
Place: On the way to the Taipei airport

Watched a bit of bewitched. Nicole kidman sure can twitch tt nose. Luckily got seats in a row, m trying to hold up till the turn so I can zzzz my way to LA. SQ food is very nice. Got cornetto.

Time: dunno la. 2 hrs aft Taipei transit
Place: Still on the bloody plane. At least 9 hrs to go.

Mini accident with the Ipod, poked in in e ear, it bled. watched antz. Will try to go sleep now luckily still row seats. Can lie down. 3 pillows n 2 blankets. Think I can make it…. Starting to be cranky liaoz

Time: still dunno apparently evening or something in LA.
Place: hotel room 16-89

Am staying at the place I can’t pronounce. Some Spanish thing I reckon. Hacienda. Room is in the non-smoking area. Top corner unit in some west tower. Feels like I’m banished from the world.did my routine paranoid check of the room…. Ask me n I’ll tell u. it’s embarrassing. I always freak out in the hotel room when I travel alone…. Starting to be really snappy n a bit depressed. Will order my supper. Thank goodness for the toys..

Freaking 1.0mps wirless… will head to e lobby to try later. Paid us 7.95 but cannot log on!?!?! MFH! Nicest patty melt. Cannot finish, will save for later or tom morning. Everything is Charging… so will continue to use this n post it when I get back. Sing dial-up is more reliable.

Huiying called n didn’t realized I was not in Sing, bitched abit to her n she told me about sweet classics n joesph.. He gave her a discount. Tt’s really nice. =) Feeling much better aft talking to him. Made my day. Can sleep in peace now.

Overslept n missed e Disney tour, oh well. Waiting for the bus to come now. Shopping time. Think e sleep helped abit.. Lunch is a toast and apiece of ham which was half and inch thick and e size of my plate…. Tried to go carl’s jnr, saw the menu n serving and did a u-turn. Found out that e sex shop was next to it. How queer. The food reminds me of bel, josh, ckr…

Mall is target. Tt’s me. Yes, I spent a bomb I really mean I bomb!!!! It’s a case of all the little cheap things adding up. Am totally capable of maxing out my credit line in this place man… scary…. Still it’s a trip where everyone gets a little something.. Shoes: 2 pairs of sailor moon boots. Took all the will power for my to put back the fluffy pink ones….Stood at the home furnishing section for like 20 mins. Can’t decide if I want to turn my room into e sponge bob theme. So tempting. This is all very exciting! They have everything from toilet seat covers to comforter sets n lamps! Oh goodness the lamps! It’s all smiling at me…. Will think about this one. Very major purchase. 25- yr old rooms are not suppose to be cartoon themed…
Waiting for the bus again…. LA city night tour. Should be fun.

Back. Shopping therapy works plus this… I LOVE LA! Photos to be up later…. Managed to post a short one. didn’t want to risk e system shutting down on me again…. Am off in my new boots. hahaha

- City Walk
Very nice place, with the whole neon light thingi. Had nicest matcha smoothie. Yes, it’s still cold drink in cold weather. It’s something like 15c. Grabbed a nice one at the brewery. Something’s missing though. U. took pictures with my SBSP happy camera n a nice instant black and white one. I hope they turn out fine.

- Made a friend on the tour bus: Bryan something. Took a few pictures for him. He and wife stay in NY. Will take me for dinner if I pass by. Strange conversation:
B: So, are u married, or seeing someone back home?
Mi: ya I have a boyfriend…
b: how old are u blah blah…..
Mi: 26.
b: oh! I got married when I was 26! U’ll be getting married next year!
Mi: huh?
b: toasts smoothie cups with me..

Proceeds to Hollywood =) Tour bus driver/guide must be a rally car driver in the day. He rattles off the domestic stats n economic info of places. I wondered out loud if he had a script. French guy from the French group overhears n goes to peep. He doesn’t. We are all amazed. He talks n talks non stops. Serious stats like GPD… m switched off totally n stares at window.

Sax soloist is playing in middle of nowhere. Group heads off to see MJ impersonator… different interest ha. Finishes n I get ready to pay him. He comes to me n ask:
Unkown: “do u know music?”
Mi: “ I do, just picked up jazz, gonna be doing a performing deg in it“
Unkown: “ I saw n smiling at the start at the solo and u applauded at the end before I went back to the head…”
Mi: “yeah *big smiles, it was a great solo. 3 forms but very sweet.”
Unkown: “Unkown, thank you… u dun have to pay, fellow musician…”
Mi: stunned….

Unkown sax guy proceeds to collect from the rest.
From this point, I knew I was going to be a wonderful night.

Found johnny deep’s palm n feet print. My, he has skinny fingers. Found bruce lee also. Didn’t see mel mel’s one though. Took one with drew Barry more… French women say I’m spunky like her. Told her I wanted to lie on e floor and take e star next to my face. Last thing I needed was pple thinking “crazy Chinese…” so I didn’t. so French women takes photo for me.

1) I’m little Chinese girl in big city. Not safe…
2) wanted to go to the blues club, but they were not having another live set till much much ltr…
- here I saw the viper room, johnny deep owns it. River phoenix died in it. I’m e only person on the bus who knows who he is. Driver n I r starting to bond… they refused to let me take a picture of the “house of blues”- owned by bb king… famous franchise around e world n ya I saw “Miyagi’s” e jap resturant in kill bill!!! =)

Quote from rally driver: “the who’s who” place. He’s into “Look at how beautiful the entrance is….” at every single place. I suspect he’s got some weird thing for entrances.. Took pics again. Went past the Saks, Barney’s n stuff and of course all things branded. Driver says: “do u feel like pretty woman?”
I replied: “ I already am pretty…” he roars and starts singing to Roberta fleck. I like him already

Home to LA Philharmonic
In the centre of the 3 buildings is a fountain tt sprouts to the tune of the concert halls. How cool is tt!?!?! In the centre of the fountain is a statue called “Hope of PEACE” it’s here that I spent the most film and I ran through e fountain when the orchestra played pp…

This stop made my day. LA is beautiful by night. U have to see it for urself. =) dinner is OJ plus a blue cheese cobb salad. Almost passed out when I saw how huge it was… ate a quarter. Last thing I need is to go back fat. good night

Sleepless n e planes flyin over bothered me…. Gave up after lying on the bed for 3 hrs. put on JC n JH. Wished u were here =). Missed him on the phone. But he called back. Will chat with him later. Better go close eyes again otherwise I’ll oversleep on my universal studios again. Tt can’t do.

Time: 902am

msn-ed with g for slightly more than half an hour. Long distance relationships hee…. Going to universal. Temped to sleep in but it’s my last day and I better make full use of it.

Time: 2347
Finally on the plane on the way home… very home sick. Totally packed flight with no room for sleep. Now where shall I begin?….

- Universal
Picked hits over Disney. Glad I did. Did the whole queue like and took every single ride. “Very touristy”. it happened to be a public holiday. Hence, the crowd. Rides and commentary listed in the way I took it.

1) van helsing horror set walk-through
Wat was I thinking… waited for a family to go trhough with them. No freaking way was I going to go through alone… quite scary.. Not nightmare potential though…. The performers dun jus scare u, they hold on to the hems of ur jeans n follow u!!! Argh…

2) 3D shrek show
Continuation of the story from part one. In this short one, prince farquar,became a ghost, plots to ruin their honeymoon. About 30 min cartoon told in 3D animaz style. I LOVE IT!

3)Back to the future ride
The whole doc brown story. Supposed to “chase”: Biff and bump him back into time. High speed time machine chase. Story so-so only but very cool ride.

4)Jurassic park ride…
Started so-so only but was kinda scary when it when into this whole tunner thing. Wet wet ride with dinos spraying water at u!??!?. they had this camera tt captured all our faces at the peak of scariness. didn’t buy cos I covered my face and u can’t see anything. LOL

5) Water world
Very impressive set with impressive stunts. didn’t like e show but the performers are damn solid.

6) The mummy ride.
WA! Coolest. Damn scary. Prob e only one I would want to go on again but queue was too long.. Thrill ride with superb special effects… imagine the creepy bug eating thing at your feet. These people are so creber!
Also really scared la. Unglam… america couple next to me. Guy: “Oh shit…” all the way. Wife, screams. End of ride: husand ask: “ how was it, cool huh” mi:” ya. Very good..” same american husband : “U can really cream for someone so small…” mi, scutterrs away.

After which I went to eat lousy Chinese food. Saved the cookie. Trying to bring it back without crushing it…

Shopped a bit… actually quite a lot la. Bought theme park souvenirs =) had to get this cap tt said :”Totally spoiled” but gave up the SBSP nightwear… regretted on the plane. As usual.

Back to hotel, rushed to target to get aunty her shoes n saw more nice clothes on sale.. Argh! I came back with an extra luggage bag.

Left Hacienda and headed to airport @9pm <- note e time

So I reached the airport one and a half hours earlier than I was suppose to…. It’s a total chaos…

Scanned my luggage and checked it in and headed for boarding thinking I still have plenty of time to go duty-free. If the earlier chaos was not bad enough at boarding gantry, ALL of us had to empty our bags, check laptops, ir, take out from cover and on it, then off it.. DUH! AND AND! Take off shoes. Was wearing my pretty women boots. Immigration officer: “I luv the tabacco colour, take your time sweetheart” *winks mi: “Cursing… one string worth… Imagine how long it took to take everything out and then scan it. So I waited for like an hour. All these while the SQ customer officer was paging for us to head to the gate! When I finally got to the gate there were SO many pple. Bad. Found a corner and planted myself on the floor building a barricade around me. Too many pple in a rather stuffy n warm place never works for me. Sms-ed and told him. So after being annoyed for another hr I finally boarded to full plane with 3 crying babies in my section.

Will sit down n calculated the total extensive damage to my bank acct after I’m home. Can’t wait to go home, shower n run off =)

More picture ltr. Jus had breakfast so I reckon Taipei is like slightly less than 2 hrs away. Which means I conquered like 12 hrs already. Slightly more than half the battle won. Am thinking of e bbq I missed back home.
